Donations and Regular Giving

Please help us to support local people with learning disabilities.

Here are some examples of ways you could give:

Regular Giving

A regular gift to Northallerton and the Dales Mencap means that we can plan better into the future and help more children and adults. All you need to do is complete a standing order form with your bank. You can set this up yourself online.

Online

You can make a donation to Northallerton and the Dales Mencap online via our Virgin Money Giving page. Here you can make a one-off gift or set up a monthly donation for as little or as much as you like.

Cheque

You can also donate via cheque, please simply make the cheque payable to ‘Northallerton and the Dales Mencap’ Society.

Did you know that you can make every £1 you give – or have given – worth 25p more, just by telling us?

This is because the government’s Gift Aid scheme allows Northallerton and the Dales Mencap Society to reclaim tax on donations. This means that you can make an even bigger difference at no extra cost to you!

For your donations to be eligible for Gift Aid you must pay an amount of income tax and/ or capital gains tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the tax that all charities and CASCs reclaim on your donations in the same tax year.

If you pay higher rate tax you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return. You can download a Gift Aid declaration below.

If you have any questions or queries please contact Sue Lear at the Mencap Centre.
