HEALTH VISITORS

Health Visitors work with your GP and are trained nurses who are additionally qualified to work in the community.  The midwife will hand over to a Health Visitor a few days after the baby’s birth.  Health Visitors will visit regularly and can be called upon for help with specific problems e.g. feeding and toileting.  If your child has special needs, your Health Visitor will continue to have contact with your child, as necessary, up to age 18.
